Building individual high spec new homes throughout Kent

Formerly a village, Crowborough is the highest inland town in East Sussex. Being at the highest point 159m above sea level means Crowborough qualifies as one of England’s Marilyns (peaks over 150m), and in Victorian times it was promoted as a health resort based on its high elevation, the rolling hills and surrounding beautiful Ashdown Forest, which is now a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with beautiful walks and views. Crowborough’s most famous resident was Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the author of the Sherlock Holmes novels and short stories, who moved to the town in 1890. (His memorial statue stands in the town centre).

The town benefits from a good range of local independent shops and amenities including Morrisons and Waitrose supermarkets, together with a local farmers’ market being held every first Saturday in the month. There is a varied selection of restaurants and established public houses, which cater for all tastes including Chinese and Indian, as well as traditional English dishes.

There is a wide range of junior and senior schooling in Crowborough, whilst further education establishments, both private and public, can be found within the area. There are good sporting facilities including golf at the famous Crowborough Beacon Golf Course with stunning views from the clubhouse over the South Downs, the Boars Head Golf Course with its floodlit driving range, Crowborough Tennis & Squash Club and the Crowborough Leisure Centre with indoor swimming pool.
