Oakhurst Manor, Hildenborough, Sevenoaks, Kent.

A development of 81 affordable new homes located to the north of highly desirable Hildenborough on the outskirts of Sevenoaks.

Comprising of a mix of one and two bedroom apartments, and three bedroom houses, the unique design is focused upon creating a community and sense of place, with open spaces, a village green, pond, and convenience store.

Environmental considerations feature prominently, with the homes designed to achieve a high rating for sustainability, with efficient insulation and heating systems supplemented by solar panels and ground or air source heat pumps. The existing screening of the site is retained and further improved so that the development cannot be seen from surrounding roads, public footpaths and other public vantage points.

The lovely setting bordering the conservation area is well placed for the local amenities of Hildenborough village with its range of shops, pubs, village hall and church (1.5 miles) and for Sevenoaks (3 miles) from where there are trains every few minutes to London with a journey time of around 35 minutes. To the south are the towns of Tonbridge and the sophisticated shopping, nightlife and entertainment facilities of  Royal Tunbridge Wells.

The A21 dual-carriageway is less than a mile from the development, giving access to the M25 and UK motorway network at Sevenoaks. The nearby London Road bus stop is a short walk and is served by services 401, 402 and 704.

In devising this project Combe Bank Homes has been working with the local planning authority to meet their requirement that the site should be used for affordable housing.

The project is subject to planning approval, and details of availability will be indicated once the planning process has been completed.
