Walmer is a delightful and thriving seaside community, famous for its castle and former associations with the Royal Marines. Walmer has a good selection of local shops and restaurants, and a further range of retailers at nearby Deal, where there is also a weekly Farmers Market and Saturday Market.

Ashford International is about 40 minutes from Walmer station. In December 2009 the Ashford International - St Pancras high speed service will reduce the journey time between Ashford and London to just 36 minutes. Meanwhile, London from Walmer station takes about 2 hours.

Planning approval has been granted for the development of three pairs of two bedroom semi-detached houses, together with associated parking and amenity space, each affording approximately 69 sq metres of accommodation.

The roughly triangular site is situated off the western end of Ravenscourt Road and extending to the rear of Marine Mews, in Walmer, near Deal.

Each pair of semi detatched houses has been sited and designed to have minimum impact on the existing neighbouring properties bordering the development, avoiding any privacy and overlooking issues.

Construction is due to commence December 2009 and these new homes will be available for occupation in September 2010.
